Then, gather any fun materials to add to make it a true ugly sweater. Use pom poms, mini bows, stickers, glitter, confetti, yarn, etc. Basically, any craft material can be used for this craft!

Next step is painting or coloring the sweater. I used Kwik Stix, the best mess free paint for kids. They’re tempera paint sticks that dry in 90 seconds! I highly recommend checking them out if you love to craft with your kids. Kwik Stix is available in sets of 6, 12, 24 and 30.

Check out Kwik Stix and use code BESSY10 for 10% OFF your entire order!

After painting or coloring, add any embellishments you like. Get creative and have fun with it! This is the best part of the craft because you get to decorate the sweater however you want.

When done decorating, cut out the sweater and display. A great idea is to print multiple templates in a smaller size and turn them into ornaments. If you’re a teacher this is a great idea to do last week of school before winter break.
