Thanksgiving Thankful Tree Craft with Free Printables
When Thanksgiving comes around it’s usually time to focus (a little more than usual) on being grateful. With kids, one way to do this is by making a thankful tree. My kids and I make some version of a thankful tree every year so I created a simple template to make it easier. I’m sharing my Thanksgiving Thankful Tree Craft with you so you can do it too!

How to Make a Thankful Tree Craft
First thing you need to do is set out your materials. You’ll need the thankful tree printable, fall leaves printable, scissors, glue and marker (or pencil). Then take time to discuss with your kids what they are truly thankful for this year. You can provide a blank sheet of paper and make a list together for younger kids.
When you have your list ready, cut out as many leaves as you’ll need for each thing. You can do this for your kids if they can’t cut for themselves just yet. Now have your child write each thing they are grateful for on the leaves. Younger kids may need help fitting in the words if it’s too long.
The last step is deciding where the leaves will go on the tree and gluing them! That’s it. You’ve got yourself a beautiful Thanksgiving Thankful Tree to display.

Print the pages on thicker card stock paper for a sturdier tree and laminate to make it last longer. You can also frame it and use as Thanksgiving decor in your home. A $1 document frame from Dollar Tree is perfect for this.
Another good idea is to put the tree together without adding any words on the leaves and place in a frame. Then use a dry erase marker to write it on the leaves. This makes it reusable and can be turned into different activities if you prefer.
