As a family of four, we need a place where we can shop for shoes for the whole family without breaking the bank and I found it! Shoe Carnival is one of the nation’s largest family footwear retailers, offering a broad assortment of moderately priced dress, casual and athletic footwear for men, women and children with emphasis on national and regional name brands.
We recently went to one of their store’s grand openings and got to experience the fun and even did some shopping. Read on to learn more about Shoe Carnival and why I think it’s the best place to shop for shoes for the whole family.

Store Grand Opening
Shoe Carnival went all out for this opening with music, free merch, and drinks and treats for everyone waiting in line. It put us all in a good mood and ready to shop. Oh and they were giving away $10 reward cards to the first 100 people in line as well as doing fun contests to give away more and more reward cards. One of my boys even participated in a hula hoop contest!
Walking in my first thought was “Wow, this store is huge!” I love a spacious store that you can walk freely in and have room to move around easily. I immediately thought how great this is for parents with a stroller.
It was a packed house for the grand opening and the store was more than ready for it. The staff was so helpful, friendly and energetic. I felt the good vibes and it really made a difference in the environment.
My favorite thing about Shoe Carnival is the overall shopping experience and attention from staff. They greet you as soon as you walk in, are there to help find styles and sizes and are genuinely friendly.
One moment that stands out for me in particular is when we needed to find a wide fit sneaker for my older son and we didn’t know where to look. Someone immediately came to help us, directed me to wide styles available and found the right size very quickly.
Another thing to note is how organized and nice the setup is. I love an organized space and any store that is not neat gives me major anxiety so for me it’s a big deal when a store is put together nicely.
Need something other than shoes? They’ve got you covered with accessories like bags, sunglasses, hats, socks, slippers, and more!
Shoes for the Whole Family
The best part of our visit to Shoe Carnival was definitely shopping for shoes for the whole family. The boys each got a new pair of sneakers for school, my husband got a pair of sneakers for work and I got some super cure black booties!
Like I mentioned above, I really appreciate a one-stop-shop where I can take the family and we all walk out with what we need without needing to go from store to store. You also can’t beat the prices. We were able to get all four pairs of name brand, high-quality shoes for under $150! That’s a bargain! Always check in with your local Shoe Carnival for special deals and sales as they change all the time.
Jacob picked out these cool Nike running shoes with a pop of color. He loves them!
David chose a more classic Nike kid’s running shoe and loves how comfortable they are.
My husband went with simple, all black New Balance sneakers he can use for work and day to day.
I chose the cutest black heeled booties perfect for a date night or dressing up jeans a tee look. These booties are under $40!
