Skincare Must Haves For Sensitive Skin

Spread the love

Growing up I always had issues with my skin and it was a nightmare. Truth is, I never really took care of it as I should have with cleansers and moisturizers or even just sunscreen! Now in my 30’s, skincare and beauty regiments are hugely important and I have some must have products on hand always.
Let me preface this by saying I’m in no way a beauty expert but I know what works for me and I love sharing amazing products with everyone. Also, I have combination skin with adult acne and hyper-pigmentation as well as rosacea. If you have similar skin issues some of these products may work perfectly for you. But even if you don’t have any skin problems, these products are pretty universal and can work for anyone.
Let’s dive in!

*This post was made in partnership with Crystal Smooth. They sent me their microdermabrasion kit for review. This posy also contains affiliate links which means if you click on a link or make a purchase I may make a small commission. As always, my opinions are 100% my own.

skincare for sensitive skin

1. Yes To Tomatoes Mud Mask

This is my favorite mud mask I’ve ever tried! It helps clear my skin, smooths it out and calms down the redness. It’s so easy to use and only takes 10 minutes to work! The salicylic acid helps combat acne and breakouts while the charcoal treats impurities in the skin. I use it 1 to 2 times a week for best results!

2. Vaseline Intensive Care Deep Moisture Cream

I have horrible dry skin on by body and only this cream helps! I’ve tried so many other creams and lotions but this drugstore find is the best. It’s basically like using petroleum jelly but in a cream consistency and it’s the only thing I use to treat my super dry irritated skin.

3. Formula 10.0.6 Picture Perfect Day Moisturizer

Lightweight, doesn’t irritate my skin and SPF 15 makes for the perfect daily moisturizer. It also has guava & vitamin C to refine pores and smooth skin. I love how thin this feels by itself or under makeup.

4. Formula 10.0.6 Three Times Sublime

I love a product that can mutli-task and this one is amazing. It’s a wash, scrub and mask all in one that removes excess oil, unclogs pores and clears blemishes. You rub it on as a mask, leave it on for 15 minutes, use water to lather and scrub and then wash off for clearer cleaner skin!

5. Pacifica Beauty Kale Detox Face Wash

Pacifica Beauty is a vegan brand and their products are all natural and great for your skin. This Kale face wash is perfect for oily & acne prone skin but it’s gentle and soothing. I love it because it also removes makeup while cleansing so it’s great for using anytime.

6. Dove Dermacare Scalp Shampoo & Conditioner

If you have sensitive skin you may also have a sensitive scalp. I definitely do! This is a must have for anyone dealing with dry scalp and dandruff. I love this shampoo & conditioner and it’s a drugstore find so it’s budget friendly!

7. Cleansing Brush

I use a cleansing brush every other day for deeper face cleansing. I will just use my favorite cleanser with it and go over my face spending about 30-60 seconds on each section. A brush is just going to be able to scrub stronger than what your hands can do and it’s good to use a few times a week at least. I have a Mary Kay one that is pretty standard but I couldn’t find it to link it so I’ve linked to a similar one available at Ulta Beauty.

8. Crystal Smooth Microdermabrasion Kit

If you’re not familiar with microdermabrasion, it’s the process of removing dead skin cells off the surface of the face to promote smoother, healthier and rejuvenated skin. With Crystal Smooth, you can do treatments once a week by yourself from the comfort of your own home. I love using this every Sunday and incorporate it into my beauty regiment.

The starter kit includes the base and 3 replaceable heads – 1 sensitive, 1 mild & 1 moderate. Each head can be used multiple times and are available for purchase separately for replacement.
My favorite thing about this kit is it’s easy to use and doesn’t need batteries! I can take it with me on the go or when I’m traveling and continue my treatments wherever I am without worrying about chargers or extra batteries.
Also, the entire process takes about 3 minutes to do your entire face! 3 minutes only once a week is pretty much all the time moms have to themselves anyway so might as well use it to get cleaner, smoother skin.
Find Crystal Smooth here & visit them on Instagram here.
I’m always looking for great products to add to my beauty regiment but these are my go-to must haves that I always repurchase no matter what. I recommend giving these a try if you have some trouble with acne, dry patches or just wanting clearer, brighter skin!

XO,

Bessy

  1. I’m exactly the same, I had skin issues when I was younger except now I have terrible scars. They are so bad that I hate to have my picture taken (that is, where I can’t edit it later) lol
I also love beauty must-have number 1: Yes To Tomatoes Mud Mask – it feels so good on and even better when it’s rinsed off!

  2. I have hard water, we went on vacation and my skin was amazing by the end of it… I look forward to trying the facemask for sure. And maybe a few of the othet items as well. Ahh, so glad I found your blog! I love reading them but feel like people don’t keep them up enough (myself included).

  5. Ive never tried yes to tomatoes brand but I’ve thought about getting it several times . I’m definitely going to give it a try now! The microdermabrasion tool sounds awesome too and I think it would help with my old acne scaring as well as my acne prone skin that I’m dealing with now !!😊
